SUMMERTEK 2024 ONLINE OVERVIEW
Grades 8-12
SummerTEK 2024 is an exciting e-learning opportunity for students to explore rewarding careers and acquire valuable skills in a supportive and user-friendly environment. This summer we are offering the following four online courses:
CCNA v7 Introduction to Computer Networks
Introduction to Cybersecurity
Professional Communication CSB Certification Course
Entrepreneurship
These courses can be the first step toward industry recognized certifications and can open the door to internships and future career and entrepreneurial opportunities in areas of high job growth. Students who successfully complete one of these courses will be awarded a certificate of completion and a stipend from Colorado Futuretek. These courses will be offered online using Zoom.

This year, we are offering four SummerTEK courses for high school students. SummerTEK courses are offered tuition-free.
Our SummerTEK high school courses are open to all students who are currently in high school or incoming freshmen. We focus on recruiting African-American and other underrepresented minority students. Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 (C+) or higher, and experience using computers. Selection will be based on accomplishments inside and outside the classroom.
This year’s courses offer valuable opportunities to learn about the basic building blocks of computer networks for home and small business enterprises, business communication, and entrepreneurship in a supportive and user-friendly environment.
In addition to preparing for and completing a valuable certification, these courses are a great opportunity to enhance skills that are vital for success in the workplace.
