COLORADO FUTURETEK | WHO WE ARE
Colorado FutureTEK is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation that provides enrichment training and resources to help African American and other underrepresented minority high school students obtain marketable skills and internships in the IT and Computer industries. We have established a set of successful, ongoing programs that are practical and positive ways to help these students become productive citizens who will help fill the widely recognized need for technically trained professionals over the next decade. We also provide basic computer training for senior citizens.

IN MEMORY OF RONALD S. FONTENOT, SR.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Co-Founder, Ronald S. Fontenot, Sr. on May 30, 2025. Ron co-founded Colorado Futuretek, Inc. (CFTEK) with the late John Henson in 2010. Ron served as the organization’s first president and established SummerTEK, our flagship program that exposes high school students to rewarding careers in information technology and computer industries. Ron was an instructor for our Introduction to Computer Networks class and help to initiate other programs offered by CFTEK including, SilverTeks, Silver Saturdays and STEAM. He established several key strategic and community partnerships and was role model to many students and colleagues.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Fontenot Family. Ron will be remembered for his outstanding contributions to the community, his passion for educating our youth, and his unwavering commitment and dedication to CFTEK.
